Paper Topics 1920 - Horror Book ReviewI am a HUGE fan of the Paper Topics series of books and I love this book. It's a collection of seven free suspense thrillers for adults, perfect for Halloween. The first five books are very scary stories all the way through the series, some quite creepy.
The last book is called Strange Numbers and is the best of the bunch. I must admit I had to read the first three in a row before I could get through this book. It's filled with both old and new characters with very creepy incidents. The book starts off on a very spooky note, which makes it all the more terrifying.
Paper Topics is by far one of the scariest horror books I have ever read. I feel like every time I pick up the book, I can't wait to turn the page and go over to the next chapter.
One of the most excellent collections of tales in the genre for children is The Curse of the Mummy Zoo by John Hart. This is a story of haunted houses and monsters. It's a dark, scary story that may very well be a nightmare for you, at least a few times.
Book Four of the Darkly Humorous Suspense Novel series is The Price of Revenge by Fonda Lee. This is a story of young kids that get mixed up in a strange murder mystery.
Mary and her friend Bridget have just broken up and want to meet again for their high school reunion. They arrange to meet on a mysterious island off the coast of Long Island. But when they arrive, they find that there is something more sinister going on.
To date, these are only four of the classic horror writers from the 1800s that are included in this delightful collection. If you love the classics of Gothic and horror fiction, this book will be right up your alley. A great piece of spooky book reading to be sure.
